2025-26 'Unfinished Jigsaw' Anthology Celebrates Student Writing & Art

See the world through the eyes of Charlottesville City Schools students!
Poems, stories, essays, and artworks by students in pre-K through 12th grade are featured in our division's annual Unfinished Jigsaw Anthology, published now.
Each year, teachers at each school collect student writing and visual art for the publication. This year, 381 entries (110 visual art and 271 literary) are featured in the publication.
The publication explores a variety of subjects, including emotions, family relationships, fears, frustrations, celebrations, the natural world, and holidays before delving into fantastic tales. It also celebrates important leaders, sports and delicious food.
The digital version of the publication is all in color, but the physical edition has a special color section. Students whose work is included will receive a hard copy of the publication at their schools.
